William Wood, Sr

On October 10, 2005, William K. Wood, Sr. of Linthicum. William was the beloved husband of the late Ella V. Wood; devoted father of Susan Mallonee and William K. Wood, Jr.; loving brother of Elizabeth McNemar, Peggy Quathammer, Owen Wood, Howard Wood, the late Eugene H. Wood, jr. and the late Leona Frye Booze; loving companion of Virginia Booth; dear grandfather of four and great-grandfather of five.
William was a supervisor for Western Electric for 35 years. He retired in 1980. He was also a member of the U.S. Army from 1942-1946 during WWII with the 802nd Tank Destroyer Battallion. He was discharged as a 2nd lieutenant with numerous medals. William was a member of the AARP and the Pioneers Club. He enjoyed many hobbies, including sports, travelling, crosswords, and swimming. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.
