William Weir

On August 18, 2006, William "David" Weir passed on at the age of 81. He is survived by his dear wife of 55 years, Theresa Weir; his son David J. Weir and his wife, Ime; his daughter, Mary Beth Rigby and her husband John; his son, John T. Weir; his grandson, Jeffrey M. Rigby and many nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his dear parents, William Rush and Alice Elizabeth Weir, two brothers and four sisters, all of Morganton, North Carolina. David was a member of the U.S. Army , 79th Infantry Division, during World War II. He then began a career as a meat cutter with Safeway Supermarkets where he was employed for 37 years. David enjoyed life and he will be missed by many people.
