William Paul “Bill” Criss Jr., 69, of Brooklyn Park, Maryland, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2026.
Born in Pasadena, Maryland, Bill was the beloved son of the late William Paul Criss Sr. and Sara Jane Criss. He attended Northeast High School and went on to build a life centered around his greatest passion—cars. For more than 40 years, Bill proudly owned and operated Automotive Accents in Linthicum, Maryland. His dedication, craftsmanship, and love for his work earned him the respect of his community and countless friendships along the way.
Bill’s passion for cars began at a young age and never faded. He was an avid NASCAR fan, and his beloved Camaros won numerous car show awards. Whether at a car show, in the garage, or out for a drive, he was truly in his happy place. Beyond cars, Bill enjoyed hunting, camping, golfing, and most of all, spending time with his grandchildren, who brought him endless joy.
Bill will be remembered as a kind, patient, and steadfast man who was always willing to lend a helping hand. His quiet strength, understanding nature, and generous spirit touched the lives of many.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Ann Criss; his children, Amber VanDeSteeg (husband Willie) and William Criss III (wife Christina); his cherished grandchildren, Chase, Emmi, Olivia, Paige, Cassandra, and Leni and his siblings Curtis Criss and Laura Joy. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Paul Criss, Sr. and Sara Jane Criss, and his brother, Larry Criss.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Bill’s life at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, on April 27, 2026, from 2:00–4:00 PM and 6:00–8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on April 28, 2026, at 11:00 AM, at St. Philip Neri Church, followed by a reception at Shipley's Choice Swim & Tennis Club Clubhouse.
