William Cornelius Sr

William L. Cornelius Sr., 73, of Linthicum Heights, died of cancer on October 1, 2005. He was born in Brunswick, Maryland. He lived in the Glen Burnie area for many years before retiring to Ft. Myers, Florida in 1989. In 2001, he and his wife moved to Linthicum Heights, MD, to be closer to their family.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Ginny (Garland) Cornelius, as well as three children, Vera Spilker and her husband Phil, Cheryl Collier and her husband Bill, and William Cornelius Jr. and his wife Michele. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Brendan, Devan and Drew Spilker; Brandy Koppold and Shane, Peyton and Alise Cornelius. He was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Mabel Cornelius.

William served as a Staff Sgt. in the US Air Force from 1954 to 1959 and in the Air Force Reserves for two years.
