Theresa Ries

Mary Theresa Ries, 69, of Glen Burnie, Maryland, passed away on Monday, September 20, 2021.  Theresa, as she was better known, was born in Baltimore, on October 3, 1951, to the late Mary and Ernest Gardner, Jr.  She worked for many years at Business Flooring as the Business Manager.  Theresa enjoyed cooking, playing solitaire, and loved animals – especially all her pets through the years.  But most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Theresa is survived by her devoted husband of 51 years, Donald W. Ries; her beloved children, D’Artagnan and Vicki; her cherished grandchildren, Sarah, Justin, and Georgie; and her dear sisters, Barbara and Jodi.  Theresa is also survived by many extended family, and a multitude of friends.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Friday, September 24th from 2-4 & 6 - 8 pm.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, September 25th, at 10 AM, in the funeral home chapel.  The family requests if you do send flowers, to consider sending a house plant that they may take care of and enjoy for years to come, in memory of Theresa.
