Sharon Marie Kinsey

Sharon Marie Kinsey, 92, a longtime resident of Ferndale, passed away peacefully at her home on May 2, 2026.

Born in Baltimore, Sharon was the beloved daughter of the late Homer and Dorothy Mitten.

Sharon found great happiness in tending to her garden, where she spent many hours nurturing flowers and enjoying the beauty of the outdoors. She especially loved sitting in the sun on her steps, taking in quiet moments. Above all, Sharon cherished time with her close-knit family, whose love and companionship were the center of her life.

Known for her warmth and kindness, Sharon was a good neighbor and a steady, comforting presence to those who knew her. She will be remembered for her caring nature, her devotion to family, and the simple, meaningful life she lived.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 62 years, Thomas Kinsey; great-nephew, Michael Goodrich; her sister, Margaret Krantz and brother-in-law Edward Krantz.

Sharon is survived by her loving nephews, Michael Krantz and his wife, Debbie, Bill Lort and his wife, Jackie; and adored great-niece, Christina Goodrich and her husband, Dana. She will also be missed by her dear great-great-nephews, Matt and Tyler Goodrich.

Her inurnment will be held on Friday, May 8th, 10am, at Meadowridge Memorial Park.
