Robert Brocious

On April 29, 2006, Robert D. "Bob" Brocious passed away at the age of 65. Devoted husband and best friend of Dorothy J. Brocious for 47 years; Beloved father of Ronald D. Brocious and his wife Robin J., Rhonda R. French and husband Norman C. and Robin D. Casto and her husband Ronald R.; Loving brother of Dwight E. Brocious and his wife Margie, Doris I. Bence and her husband Gerson, Barbara J. Brocious and Verna M. Smith and the late Joe Smith; Cherished grandfather of seven. He is predeceased by his parents, Lawrence and Helen Brocious. Bob and Dorothy have lived in Glen Burnie since 1962, and in recent years have become "snowbirds" - dividing their time between Glen Burnie and Lake Wales, Florida. Bob worked as a foreman for Grinnell Fire Protection (which later became Simplex Grinnell) from 1962 to his retirement in April of 1999. After retirement, he worked as a substitute teacher for George Cromwell Elementary. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Glen Burnie, as well as a member of the North Glen Athletic Association and the Linthicum Ferndale Athletic Association. He was also a member of the Local Union #536. Bob enjoyed golfing and camping, gardening, Nascar and especially spending time with his grandchildren, Brandon and Brooke French, Bradley, Barret and Brayden Casto and Amy and Craig Brocious.
