Robert Michael “Mike” Becker, Sr., age 72, of Pasadena, Maryland, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2026.
Born on January 7, 1954, in Baltimore, Maryland, Mike was the son of the late Richard Melvin Becker, Sr., and Lillian Helen Humphreys Becker. He was also preceded in death by both of his siblings.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Bernice Veronica Becker; his son, Robert Michael Becker, Jr., and daughter-in-law, Nicki; his daughter, Melody Ann Zacharko, and son-in-law, Gary; and his cherished granddaughters, Katelyn and Julie Zacharko.
Mike dedicated much of his professional life to Acme Ladder & Equipment Company. He began working there as a young man and, through years of hard work and commitment, later became the owner of the business. He took pride in what he built and in the relationships he formed along the way.
Above all else, Mike was a simple man who found his greatest joy in spending time with his family. He did not need much — just good company and a good meal. He especially loved a great steak, particularly a Delmonico from Romano’s, and was known to snap a photo of a “pretty” steak before digging in. Those small moments brought him genuine joy.
In his younger years, Mike enjoyed fishing trips with the guys and playing the acoustic guitar. He loved animals, especially his two beloved dogs, Daisey and Rudy. Those who knew him will remember his quiet nature, his dry sense of humor, his steady presence, and the deep love he had for his family.
Funeral services will be held at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, PA, in Glen Burnie, Maryland, with interment at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Brooklyn, Maryland.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Riviera Beach Volunteer Fire Company in appreciation of their dedication and service. Donations may be made at https://rbvfc13.com/donate/
