Ralph Wayne Eichelberger, Jr., affectionately known as Wayne, passed away on May 30, 2026, in Glen Burnie, Maryland. Born on November 11, 1963, in Baltimore, Maryland, Wayne’s life was a rich tapestry of dedication, hard work, and heartfelt family devotion.
Wayne built a distinguished career as a Master Mason, where he owned and operated Eichelberger and Sons Masonry—a testament to his craftsmanship and work ethic. Later in his professional journey, he served with dedication as a Maintenance Supervisor for the State of Maryland, demonstrating his commitment to community and service.
But beyond his professional accomplishments, Wayne was a man who treasured the simple joys of life. He found peace and pleasure in the outdoors, enjoying camping, fishing, crabbing, and "putzing around"—moments that allowed him to connect with nature and himself. Yet, above all else, his deepest joy came from spending time with his family, especially his beloved grandsons, Jaxson and Tucker. His presence illuminated their lives, and his love was a constant source of strength and warmth.
Wayne is survived by his devoted wife, Karen Ann Eichelberger, and his devoted son, Christopher Eichelberger, who together carry forward the values he held dear. His cherished grandchildren, Jaxson Eichelberger (Chelsey McLaughlin, Mother) and Tucker Eichelberger (Shannon List, Mother) remain living legacies of his love and guidance. He also leaves behind his dear sister, Karen Griffith, and brother, Brian Eichelberger, who have shared a lifetime of memories and support. His father-in-law, Michael W. Feimer, stands among those who knew him well and loved him dearly. His faithful companion, Pooh, brought comfort and companionship in his quieter moments at home. Alongside them, many extended family members and friends who were touched by his kindness and humor honor his memory.
Wayne is lovingly remembered but deeply missed by those who knew him best. The pain of his loss is felt most keenly by his family, especially as they also mourn the earlier passing of his son, Cory Eichelberger, his beloved father and mother Ralph Eichelberger, Sr. and Nancy Lee Eichelberger and his mother-in-law, Janice M. Feimer, who now join him in eternal peace.
A visitation will be held on June 8, 2026, at Singleton Funeral and Cremation Services PA, located at 1 2nd Ave SW, Glen Burnie, Maryland 21061. Family, friends, and all who knew Wayne are welcome to pay their respects from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and again from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. To celebrate the fullness of his life, a Celebration of Life gathering will take place on June 9, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
Wayne’s legacy is one of quiet strength, boundless love, and the simple but profound joy of family. Those who loved him remember him as a gentle spirit whose hands built more than walls—they built homes and hearts. In remembering Wayne, we hold close the laughter, the stories, and the peaceful moments shared beneath open skies, always carrying him with us in the love that never fades.
