Victoria Lee Bors

July 10, 1955 — July 13, 2020

Victoria “Vicki” Lee Bors gained her angel wings on Monday, July 13, 2020 at the age of 65. She was born on July 10, 1955 in Baltimore, MD, to the late Rev. Jack & Catherine Buckingham. She is survived by her beloved husband Joseph E. Bors, cherished children Susan Collins, Steven Bush, David Bush, and stepsons Peter Bors and Dan Bors. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend. Vicki graduated from High Point High School in Beltsville, MD, in 1973. She then started her professional career at Sears in the Handbags & Hosiery Department in Glen Burnie, MD. She worked at Sears for 13 years before resigning in 1985. On April 28, 1986 Vicki was hired by Dr. Michael Cataldo as an Administrative Assistant for Kennedy Krieger Institute in the Behavioral Psychology Department. Through hard work and dedication, Vicki became the Financial Manager of the department until her retirement on April 28, 2020. Vicki was a fisher of men and women, her faith guided her through every decision. She was a member of Ferndale United Methodist Church in Ferndale, MD where two of her proudest accomplishments were becoming lay leader and the youth group leader. She served in these roles for many years and touched many lives. Vicki’s passion for youth ministry was evident in the way she provided a safe place for them to speak freely and learn about God.

Vicki’s love for family and friends was unconditional. She always took care of others before herself. Vicki loved celebrating the holidays with the family (her favorite being Thanksgiving), dancing with her loving husband, sharing the excitement of her kids’/grandkids’ activities, laughing around the table with family & friends, cruisin’ in the 55 Chevy, going to the beach, and serving her Lord. She always had a positive attitude, no matter the situation, even while fighting her battle with pancreatic cancer. Vicki was always positive and strong in the battle and refused to allow it to define her. Instead, she continued to give hope, and remained faithful in order to comfort her loved ones. Vicki was an angel on earth and now will be our heavenly angel watching over all of her loved ones.
