Michael Lee Schaeffer

October 2, 1965 — July 3, 2020

Michael Lee Schaeffer, 54, of Baltimore, passed away on July 3, 2020. He was born on October 2, 1965, in Baltimore to the late Richard and Virginia Schaeffer. Michael was known for his love of all things cars, classic cars, NASCAR, but his pride and joy, was his beautiful 1963 Nova Deuce, Michael would faithfully wash his car once a week, he truly cherished his car. He also enjoyed football and was a team fan of the Baltimore Ravens. Michael also enjoyed attending church and was a devoted member of his church, Saint Benedict in Baltimore, Maryland. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Michael is survived by his loving siblings, Ralph Schaeffer, Barbara Bornheim, Patricia Gerlack and her husband CJ, his niece, Brittany Gerlack and her fiancé, Matt Rogerson, nephew, Joseph Gerlack, niece, Amanda Collier, great-nephew, Mason Collier, nephew, Bryan Bornheim and his wife, Emily and great nephew, Jacob, his Great-Aunt Gail Davis; Aunt Helen Buchanan and Godmother, Shea Svihra. Michael is predeceased by his brother, Richard Schaeffer

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are only allowing 30 people inside the Celebration Center home at one time and requiring masks for all visitors. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 9th, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at our Celebration Center, located next to the funeral home at 206 Crain Highway South. On Friday, July 10th there will be a funeral service at 10AM at Singleton Funeral Home, located at 1 2nd Ave, S.W. Glen Burnie.  Internment will immediately follow at 1130AM at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Brooklyn.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like for donations to be made to Michael’s church, Saint Benedict of Baltimore, Maryland.
