Mia Kayden Webster went home to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, sunset on May 2, 2026. Sunrise on April 5, 2008, in Baltimore, Maryland, she was a cherished and beloved daughter.
From an early age, Mia had a gentle spirit and a warm-welcoming smile (and dimples) that brought comfort to everyone she met. Mia was a vibrant and creative young woman whose love for dance and music reflected her bright spirit and individuality which made her a source of light to her family and friends.
Mia loved Hello Kitty, getting her nails done and could always be found with her favorite Winnie the Pooh bear. She was on the brink of an exciting new chapter in her life, set to graduate from Glen Burnie High School on June 5, 2026, a milestone she had worked hard to reach. Mia was recognized for her positive influence of being genuine and awarded Student of the Month (March 2026).
Time spent with loved ones was amongst Mia’s greatest joys as she treasured the bonds she shared with those closest to her. Weeks before her unexpected passing, Prom became the last celebration filled with laughter, dancing, and memories that will live in our hearts forever. We will forever cherish the joy she carried that night and hold onto every memory made.
Above all, Mia deeply valued her family, she is lovingly remembered by her father, Tyrone “Ty” Webster; her siblings, Dion Webster, Noelle Webster, Alaya Funnie, and Ariana Funnie; her grandmothers, Jenine Jarangin (Jerhone) and Eun Suk Cho; her Aunts Timika Webster and Takiya Jarnagin; her uncle Brian Clifton (Nicole); and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
Mia was preceded in death by her mother, Mitzi Kaye Funnie.
Though her time on earth was brief, Mia’s life was a beautiful testament of love, joy and light. In just 18 years, she touched countless hearts with her smile, her spirit, and the kindness she carried so effortlessly. She lived in a way that reminded us to cherish every moment, love deeply, and never take life for granted. Though she is gone too soon, the memories she created and the love she gave will remain with us forever.
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff at Baltimore Washington Medical Center for the compassion, care, and kindness shown during such a difficult time.
