Mary "Alice" (Simpson) Harrison

Mary “Alice” Harrison née Simpson of Severn, Maryland passed away on July 15, 2026.

Alice was born on March 20, 1928, the third of five children to the late John Albert and Celia Elizabeth Simpson née Miller in Lenoir City, Tennessee. She married Clyde C. Wallace in 1945, and after he was honorably discharged from the military they moved to Maryland.

Together they had four children and Alice was a homemaker who enjoyed raising her children. After Clyde’s passing in 1990 she later married James Harrison. After his retirement they moved to Texas where she lived for 22 years before moving back to Maryland in 2017 to be closer to her family.

Alice enjoyed spending time in the kitchen and was famous for her Jewish apple cake. But above all, she loved her family and spending quality time with them. Some of her greatest joys came from spending time with her children.

Alice lost two spouses, two sons, and moved and started over several times in her life. For some, these challenges would have been hard, but Alice’s inner strength and determination allowed to her to always keep going.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; sons, Clyde H. and Dale; siblings, Ella Moats, Louise Carr, Edward Simpson and John Simpson; and son-in law, Norman Bossalina.

She is survived by her children, Wantana Sue Bossalina and David Mark Wallace; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors at the family owned Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., located at 1 2nd ave. SW (at Crain Highway), Glen Burnie on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 from 2 PM to 4 PM and again from 6 PM to 8 PM. A Celebration of Life service will be held on the following day, Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at 1 PM in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to immediately follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
