Lisa Brown

On March 12, 2006, Lisa K. Brown of Severna Park passed away. The beloved daughter of Charles and Shirley Brown; Cherished sister of Lori L. Fisher, Toni R. Day, Tracie A. Jamieson; Jeffrey E. Brown and Sean M. Brown; Loving girlfriend of Doug Ferguson. Lisa is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews who she adored. Lisa attended Anne Arundel Community College and Towson University, where she received her Masters Degree in Education. She worked for the Anne Arundel County School system as a teacher for over 20 years. Lisa worked for Brooklyn Park Elementary, Oakwood Elementary and most recently for Arundel Middle School. She reviewed text for the school board, developed specific curriculums and was instrumental at starting the Battle of the Books and the Mathador programs. Lisa had a flair for story telling and the children loved to listen to her. She enjoyed redecorating her house as well as other peoples' homes. Lisa like to travel, going to the beach, learning about history and collecting antiques. A unique person, Lisa enjoyed Contra Dancing and was often said to have been "born in the wrong era". She had an extreme devotion to her family and especially loved spending time with them. Friends always commented on how often Lisa spoke of her family. She will be missed by so many.
