John Hain Obituary

John Warren Hain, 85, of Halethorpe, passed away peacefully at his home on April 29, 2026.

Born in Pine Grove, Pennsylvania, he was the beloved son of the late John Hain and Muriel Powell. John proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, carrying that sense of dedication and service throughout his life.

John was the proud owner of M & J Beauty Salon in Lansdowne, and had a true passion for teaching, especially when it came to hair coloring techniques.

In his younger years, John served as past president of the Glen Burnie Lions Club.

In his free time, John was an avid sports fan, cheering on the Orioles and Ravens. He also loved traveling to Dover to watch NASCAR races and treasured the many moments spent with his family.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Joyce Ann Hain; loving children, John Hain and his wife, Debbie, and Patricia Stinchcomb and her husband, Butch;  and his cherished grandchildren, John, Daphne, Andrew, Zachary, Christopher, Emmanuel and Cheyenne. He will also be missed by his sister-in-law, Paula Bohle; and many loving nieces, nephews and their families.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 18th, from 11 am – 1 pm, with a funeral service immediately following at 1 pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville.
