Joan Lee Monson

Joan Lee Monson, 76, of Brooklyn Park,  passed away on Friday, September 20, 2019, at Seasons Hospice at Northwest Hospital.  She was born on June 12, 1943, in Baltimore, to the late Anna and Elmer Clark.  She graduated from Southern High School in Baltimore,  Class of 1961.  Joan was a dedicated homemaker to her family and she enjoyed BINGO, going to the casino, and being with her family.

Joan is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, John J. Monson, Sr.; her beloved children, John J. Monson Jr. and his wife Val, and Debbie Dlugokinski and her husband Jim; her cherished grandchildren, Rose Monson, Jimmy Dlugokinski, and Ryan  Dlugokinski; and her loving sister, Dolores Johns.  She was predeceased by her two dear siblings, Shirley Elchin and Elmer “Bobby” Clark.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1  2nd Ave, S.W. (at Crain Hwy), in Glen Burnie, on Wednesday, September 25th , from 3-5 & 7-9 PM.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to go Seasons Hospice at www.seasons.org.
