Joan Bissett

Joan E. Bissett, 87, of Odenton, passed away on June 10, 2022. She was born in Baltimore to the late Elmer and Virginia Wheeler. She enjoyed reading, bowling, crocheting, traveling and crossword puzzles. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 61 years, David M. Bissett; and dear sons-in-law, Harry Showalter and Del Malott.

Joan is survived by her beloved daughters, Carole Showalter, Barb Malott and Kathy Pittman and her husband, Joe; cherished grandchildren, David Coulson, Sean Malott (Sarah), Sandy Malott, Chris Malott, Jennifer Ussery (Daniel) and Brandon Pittman; loving great-grandchildren, Trinity Coulson, Adalyn Mae Malott, Anthony Druding, and Gavin Druding; and her dear brother, Jack Wheeler.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Saturday, June 18th from 10 AM – 11 AM. A memorial service will immediately follow at 11 AM in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association by visiting www.alz.org
