Jimmy Gabriel Obando Ponce

Jimmy Gabriel Obando Ponce, 44, of Laurel, Maryland, passed away on June 20, 2022, at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.  Jimmy was born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, on May 19, 1978, to Maria Orfelia Obando and the late Pompilio Obando Lainez.  He was a kitchen designer by trade, a devout Christian, and he enjoyed playing video games, watching movies and spending time with his family.  He especially loved his wife and mother.

Jimmy is survived by his devoted wife of 19 years, Claudia Flores de Obando; his beloved daughter, Maria Jose; his cherished mother, Maria; and his loving siblings, Norman, Laura, and Yudi.  He is also survived by many extended family & friends.

Jimmy was a man of faith that loved living life to the fullest and did not want to die.  He always there when others needed help.

A Celebration of Life will be held at on Wednesday, June 29th, at 3 PM in the funeral home chapel.  The family will receive visitors immediately following the service until 7 PM.  Interment will take place at a later date in Honduras.
