Jeannette A. Lloyd, 89, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2026. Born on July 14, 1936 in Ridgley, West Virginia, she was the beloved daughter of the late Melvin and Irene (née Valentine) Abe.
Jeannette dedicated 25 years of her career to Westinghouse as a defense contractor, where she was known for her strong work ethic and quiet dedication. She was a devoted member of St. John Lutheran Church, where her faith and connection to community were an important part of her life.
She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—watching the birds from her window, cooking for those she loved, and enjoying her favorite dish of mussels. Jeanette was a loyal fan of the Baltimore Ravens and Orioles, always cheering them on. She had a deep love for animals and treasured her time in Ocean City, Maryland, where she found peace by the ocean. Music brought her comfort and happiness, especially the songs of Elvis Presley and Patsy Cline. She also enjoyed shopping, with QVC holding a special place as her favorite pastime. Her family was the most important thing in her life.
Most of all, Jeannette loved her family deeply and cherished every moment spent with them. Her greatest happiness came from being surrounded by those she loved.
Jeannette was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Lloyd, and her cherished daughter, Imogene “Peachy.” She is survived by her loving children, David Lloyd, Michael Lloyd, and Brenda Eisenlorh; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry her memory forward with love.
Jeannette will be remembered for her warmth, her quiet joys, and the love she shared so generously with her family and friends.
A service to celebrate Jeannette’s life will be private.
