Janice Marie Jones, a devoted homemaker and cherished family matriarch, passed away peacefully at her home in Baltimore, Maryland, on April 4, 2026. Born on May 31, 1940, in Baltimore, Janice lived a life marked by love, faith, and deep commitment to her family and community.
Janice’s life was beautifully centered around her family. She was beloved for her warm heart and steadfast dedication as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was also deeply committed to her faith, finding joy and purpose in bible study and spreading the word of God. A true pet lover, Janice’s gentle and nurturing spirit extended to all living beings around her. Her family remembers her as a remarkably family-oriented and loving woman whose presence enriched their lives.
Throughout her years, Janice felt immense pride in her role as former Secretary of the G.L.O.W. Women’s Christian Fellowship, where she served with grace and devotion, building bonds of faith and fellowship among women in her community.
Janice is survived by her son, Steven M. Jones; daughters Janice Marie Blaha (Albert) and Cindy A. Stiles (Kenny); daughter-in-law Maggie Jones; and her many grandchildren: Christina Jones, Peter Jones, Zachary Polcak, Sarah Polcak, Miranda Allen, Tye Stiles, Peyton Stiles, Alexander Stiles, Jessica Stiles. Her legacy continues through her dear great-grandchildren Javier, Brooks, Travis, Saylor, Hayden, and Koraline. She is also lovingly remembered by her siblings, Bill Manning, Kathy Swing, and John Manning.
Janice was preceded in death by her beloved husband Charles Jones, Sr.; son Charles Jones, Jr.; father Charles Manning, Sr.; mother Janice Manning; and siblings Charles Manning, Jr., Leroy Manning, Linda Martin, and Betty Carlin.
A visitation to honor Janice’s memory will be held on April 9, 2026, at Singleton Funeral and Cremation Services, P.A. in Glen Burnie, Maryland, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and again from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will take place there on April 10 at 12:30 p.m. Interment to follow at Meadowridge Memorial Park.
Janice Marie Jones leaves behind a radiant legacy of love and faith. Her family’s hearts are forever touched by her warmth and unwavering devotion, and her spirit will continue to inspire all who knew her. Though she is deeply missed, the light of her life shines on in the lives she so tenderly nurtured.
