Janet "Jenny" Marie Keggins

Janet "Jenny" M. Keggins, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend, passed away surrounded by the love and support of her family. Born on January 13, 1957, in Maryland, she was the cherished daughter of Thomas and Sandra Harbach.

Jenny was a proud graduate of Glen Burnie High School, where she formed many lifelong memories and friendships before beginning the next chapter of her life.

Jenny is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, Gregory Keggins. Together they recently celebrated their golden wedding anniversary, a love story marked by unwavering devotion, deep friendship, and a quiet steadiness that inspired everyone who knew them. Among their favorite simple pleasures was walking together through parks and enjoying nature side by side, a reflection of the peaceful life they built together.

She was the loving mother of Seth Keggins and his wife Christie, and Bryana Keggins. Jenny's greatest joy in life was being "Grandma" to her treasured grandchildren, Peyton and Levi Keggins. Every moment spent with them was a gift she deeply cherished and they were the light of her life.

Jenny is also survived by her loving parents, Thomas and Sandra Harbach, her devoted sister Barbara Lewis and her husband John, and many extended family members and dear friends who will forever remember her kindness, generosity, and creative spirit.

Jenny had a rare and genuine gift for making everyone she met feel seen and valued. Whether she was greeting families as a school secretary at Anne Arundel County Public Schools, or simply striking up a conversation with a stranger, a warm smile and a sincere question about your life was her trademark. She believed everyone had a story worth hearing - and she meant it.

A gifted and lifelong crafter, Jenny found deep joy in creating beautiful things with her hands. She loved crocheting, cross-stitching, scrapbooking, and making heartfelt gifts for the people she loved. One of her favorite traditions was collecting sand and seashells from beaches across the Caribbean, transforming them into unique keepsakes she lovingly shared with others. When something needed to be said, Jenny said it, often in a beautifully handwritten letter that left no doubt where she stood. Her artistic talents were widely recognized, earning her numerous first-place ribbons at the Anne Arundel County and Maryland State Fairs.

Jenny loved visiting Ocean City, Maryland, antiquing, browsing for seashells, and filling her home with treasures that reflected her warm and welcoming personality. Sneaky Pete's held a special place in her heart. She decorated her home with intention, every antique carefully chosen, every piece carrying a story.

While Jenny had many passions, nothing brought her greater happiness than her family. She was happiest when surrounded by those she loved, creating memories that will be treasured forever.

Jenny will be remembered for her gentle heart, generous spirit, remarkable creativity, and the unconditional love she gave so freely. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy lives on in the beautiful things she made, the lives she touched, and the love she shared with all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Jenny's life on Sunday, July 12, 2026. The family will receive visitors from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m., at which time a memorial service will begin.  The family request in memory of Jenny donations be made to The March of Dimes or the American Cancer Society.

Her family finds comfort in knowing that the love she gave so generously will remain in their hearts forever.
