Jane Estelle McCready, 79, of Glen Burnie, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on August 18, 1946, in Baltimore, she was the cherished daughter of the late Henry Mayo and Stephanie Bochinski.
Jane was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, James McCready, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and devotion. Together they built a beautiful family that remained the center of her world.
She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Kelly L. Cicen (Tony), and her son, Stephen McCready. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Tyler, Rayna, Mason (Hailey), and Rori; and a treasured great-grandmother to Adalyn and Asher. Jane is also survived by her dear sister, Carolyn George (Bill), along with many extended family members and friends who will deeply miss her warmth and kindness.
Jane worked for many years as an office administrator, a career with which she took great pride. But her true enthusiasm and joy came outside of work where she cherished time with her beloved family and her many hobbies. She loved gardening, fishing, boating, bird watching, and spending time outdoors, especially at the beach. A loyal fan of the Baltimore Orioles, Jane could often be found cheering on her favorite team during baseball season.
Above all else, Jane adored her family. She found immense happiness in hosting gatherings, celebrations, and holidays, creating cherished memories around her table that her loved ones will carry forever. Her home was always filled with love, laughter, and open arms.
Jane’s gentle spirit, caring heart, and unwavering love for her family will remain a lasting legacy to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
