James “Jimmy” David Griisser, 64, of Columbia, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2026.
Born in Baltimore, Jimmy was the beloved son of Margie Griisser and the late Frederick M. Griisser Sr. He will be remembered for his kind heart, gentle spirit, and deep love for animals. Jimmy found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially reading, gaming, and cheering on the Baltimore Orioles.
In addition to his father, Jimmy was preceded in death by his nephew, Brendan Fruin; and sister-in-law, Julie Griisser.
Jimmy is survived by his loving mother, Margie Griisser; dear siblings, Frederick M. Griisser Jr., Susan A. Griisser and her husband, Stephen Fruin, Mark Griisser and his wife, Julia Ferrufino; and his many adored nieces and nephews.
