J. Clifford Watson, Jr.

The family of J. Clifford Watson, Jr. of Glen Burnie, MD, is deeply saddened to announce his passing on March 21, 2026, at the age of 86.  He was born on August 28, 1939, to J. Clifford Watson, Sr. and Martha S. Story in Laurel, MS.  After graduating from Mississippi State University, he worked as an engineer for Westinghouse, Northrup Grumann, and the Department of Defense.  He married Sandra Weller of Glen Burnie in 1967, and together they shared 59 wonderful years.  Cliff enjoyed astronomy, computing, videography, and photography, and was known for his decades of faithful and loving service to his family and his church family at Glen Burnie Baptist Church, as well as his impish grin, mischievous sense of humor, and stories of his practical jokes.

Clifford is survived by his wife, Sandra; his children, David (Baltimore, MD) and Suzanna Nichols (Knoxville, TN); his grandchildren, Alex, Eliana, and Micah; and his brothers, Bill and John. 

A celebration of life service will be held at Glen Burnie Baptist Church on Thursday, March 26, at 12:00 p.m. followed by a graveside service at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
