Howard Burke, Sr

On August 3, 2006, Howard J. Burke, Sr. passed on. Howard is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Muriel Jane Burke; his dear sons, Alan, Carl, Howard Jr., Michael and Joseph Burke; his brothers, Maynard and Donald Burke; his sisters, Elizabeth Sprinkle and Laverne Carr; fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Howard was preceded in death by his daughter, Muriel Coomes, and his brothers, John and Carl Burke. Howard was a native of Maryland born in 1931. He was with the U.S. Air Force from 1950 to 1953. He was employed as a printer with the Baltimore Sun for 30 years. He was a member of the Glen Burnie Moose Lodge #1456. Howard loved fixing things, listening to old records & music, watching old movies and collecting elephants. He especially loved spending time with his family. Howard was a good man who will be missed by many.
