George Joseph Parsley

George Joseph Parsley, 65, of Glen Burnie, Maryland, passed away peacefully and was surrounded by his loving family on July 30, 2026.

George was a hardworking businessman and well-known member of the community.  He was the proud owner of Parsleys Pub, ran for 15 years, and the former owner of Parsleys Towing, along with Parsleys Amoco gas station.

Outside of work, George embraced life to the fullest.  He was an avid fan of baseball and football, being a dedicated Orioles and Redskins fan, he rarely missed a chance to watch a game.  He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, sharing stories, laughter, and good times. One of his early passions was racing cars at Capital Raceway.  George also found peace tending to his plants and keeping his yard looking its best.

Above all else, George's greatest joy was his family.  He treasured every moment spent with those he loved, and he shared a particularly close bond with his son, Kyle, who was the pride and joy of his life.

George is survived by his adored son, Kyle Parsley; loving mother, Frances Parsley; and his beloved sisters, Francine Oliver, Theresa “Terri” Womersley, Patty Parsley, Diane Marsch, Karen Moore, and Sandra Parsley.  He will also be missed by his loving niece, Jennifer “Cookie” Parsley, and nephews, Matthew Rohrback, Jayden Rohrback, Christopher Marsch, Sean Miller, Joshua Miller, Nick Hackney, Zach Moore, Travis Dixon, and Chase Wolfe.

He was preceded in death by his father, George L. Parsley; and nephews, Timothy Scheminant and Raymond Balcunas.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services on Tuesday, Aug. 4th, from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm.  His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 5th at 1 pm, in the funeral home chapel.  Interment to immediately follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park for a 2 pm burial.
