Florence Louise Heiser

Florence Louise Heiser, affectionately known as Flo, a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2026, in Glen Burnie, Maryland. Born on June 26, 1930, in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania, then moving to Maryland in 1954, Flo lived a life marked by dedication, warmth, and a gentle spirit that touched all who knew her.  She always had a smile on her face and never met a stranger.

Flo’s career journey was as remarkable as her character.  She proudly served as an airline stewardess for PanAm Airlines, bringing comfort and care to travelers during her tenure.  Later, she contributed her skills as a switchboard operator for Carr-Lowrey Glass Company, demonstrating a strong work ethic and a commitment to every role she embraced.  Flo was a devout Christian and member of Lighthouse Church in Glen Burnie.  She is truly experiencing God's word, "To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord."

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Flo found joy in the simple and meaningful moments of life. Most of all, she loved spending time with her beloved grandson and great-grandchildren, cherishing the laughter and love they shared. Her quiet pleasures included tackling challenging crossword puzzles and enjoying episodes of the Golden Girls, both of which brought her comfort and delight through the years.

Florence's legacy is carried on by her devoted daughter Michele E. Heiser, and son John W. Heiser, who, along with their families, were the heart of her world. She found immense happiness in her grandson, Nicholas Dominick, and his significant other Haiden Cochran, her great-grandchildren, Devin and Gunner Dominick, her niece and several nephews as well as her faithful companion, Rudy.  The bond she nurtured with her family was a testament to her nurturing nature and enduring love.

Florence is preceded in death by her brothers Teddy, Walter, and Chester Cegielski; her sister Mildred Kacilowicz; and her parents, Bertha and John Cegielski. Their memories live on in her heart and in the stories shared by those who loved her.

A visitation to honor Florence’s life will be held on June 19, 2026, from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM at Singleton Funeral and Cremation Services P.A., located at 1 2nd Ave SW, Glen Burnie, MD 21061. Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life will take place immediately following at 3:30 PM.

Florence Louise Heiser’s gentle soul and kind heart have left an indelible mark on her family and friends. Her memory will forever be treasured, her stories recounted, and her love cherished. In every shared crossword puzzle and every laughter-filled moment watching the Golden Girls, Florence’s spirit endures—quietly present and deeply missed.
