Evelyn Liberto Obituary

Evelyn Emma Liberto, a devoted wife and cherished mom, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2026, in Halethorpe, Maryland.  Born on November 1, 1935, in Baltimore, Maryland, Evelyn lived a life filled with warmth, love, and dedication to her family and community.

Evelyn’s days were joyfully spent playing bingo, shopping, going out for family dinners, playing cards and board games with family, simple pleasures that brought her happiness and connection with friends.  She was a Godly woman who faithfully attended weekly mass, and loved praying her rosary daily.  Throughout her life, she was known for her kind heart, her unwavering support for her loved ones, and the grace with which she embraced every moment.

She leaves behind a loving husband, Vincent Liberto, Jr., whose partnership and devotion were a source of great comfort and strength to her.  Evelyn’s legacy lives on through her daughters, Denise Creamer and Diana Knoerlein, who carry forward their mother’s spirit and love.  Her family circle extends to her grandson, Matthew Knoerlein, granddaughter, Gina Creamer, her great-grandchildren, Ellie and Ian Knoerlein, and beloved dog, Tilly, all of whom were precious to her and brightened her world.

Evelyn also rests in the memory of her son, Vincent Anthony Liberto, and her beloved parents, Tillie and Melvin Hammond, who preceded her in death.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Singleton Funeral and Cremation Services, P.A. in Glen Burnie, MD, at 1 2nd Avenue, S.W. for visitation on June 16, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.   A Mass to celebrate Evelyn’s life will be held at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, located at 6405 S.Orchard Road, Linthicum, MD, on June 17, 2026, beginning at 11:00 a.m.

Evelyn Emma Liberto’s presence enriched many lives, and her memory will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved her.  Her family finds solace in knowing that her spirit lives on in their hearts.

The family kindly requests that, instead of flowers, donations be made in Evelyn’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org, honoring her compassionate nature and her wish to contribute to hope and healing beyond her own circle.

In celebrating Evelyn’s life, we remember a remarkable woman whose love made a lasting impact, a true blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing her.  She was the greatest wife, Mama, Nanny, and best friend to her family.  A beautiful Angel on earth, and now an Angel in Heaven.  May she rest in eternal peace.

“May the Divine assistance remain always with us, and may the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.  Amen”

-Mother Angelica
