Ernestine Delores Stith passed away peacefully on June 25, 2026, at the age of 91. Born in Culpeper, Virginia, Ernestine was the beloved daughter of the late Bertha I. and Ernest E. Blick Sr. She lived a life rooted in faith, family, and service to others. For more than 20 years, Ernestine faithfully served as the secretary of Linthicum Baptist Church, where she was also a longtime active member and a devoted member of the church choir.
Ernestine was a gifted seamstress whose talent and creativity were reflected in everything she made. She found great joy in boating and crabbing, spending time on the water, and vacationing in Hilton Head, South Carolina, where she created many cherished memories with family and friends. Above all else, Ernestine was a loving and devoted mother whose greatest happiness came from spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 69 years, Andrew Wilkens Stith; and her sister, Margaret Irene Shank; brother-in-law, John H. Shank; nephews, John R. Shank and Barry A. Blick; and niece, Linda J. Blick.
Ernestine is survived by her loving children, David Andrew Stith (Susan Lynn Brunson) and Donna Lynn Stith; dear brother, Ernest E. Blick Jr. (wife, Helen); caring brother-in-law, Robert E. Stith; and many adored nieces, nephews and their families.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, 1 2nd Avenue SW (at Crain Hwy) Glen Burnie on Monday, July 6th, from 4 – 7 pm. Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, 10 am, in the funeral home chapel. Interment to immediately follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park.
