Edith Whilden Obituary
Mrs. Edith D. Whilden passed away on August 19, 2006 at the age of 90. She is survived by her sons, Wayne Van Hassel and Warren (Mouse) Van Hassel, as well as a sister, Edna Bainbridge. She was a dear grandmother to five and great-grandmother to four.
Born on March 5, 1916 in Gafield, New Jersey, Mrs. Whilden worked as a cafeteria worker for Anne Arundel County High Schools. She was a member of the Women of Church of God at Gambrills. She enjoyed working in the garden, crocheting blankets for the Ronald McDonald House, attending auctions and yard sales, and loving people.
