Dorothy Belschner

Dorothy “Dottie” Lorell Belschner, 87 of Severn passed away on April 7, 2022. Dottie was born on January 30, 1935 in Crum, West Virginia to the late Gertie and Mont Fluty. Dottie served in the US Navy, stationed in Norfolk, Virginia and was honorably discharged in 1954. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting, cooking and gardening, spending time outdoors and was an avid tennis player.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, MSGT Eugene S. Belschner, USMC (Ret); her children, Dale L. Belschner (Gail), Sheila L. Jenkins (Martin) and Donna J. Boushell (Bryan); her grandchildren, Bryan M. Boushell, Jr. (Starvia), Jonathan L. Boushell (Lindsay) and Justine L. Belschner; her great-granddaughters, Elana and Betty Boushell; her siblings, Monta Lue Jiunta, Ethel Taylor, Emma Russell, Danny Fluty (Ava), Ronnie Fluty (Dianne) and the late Frances Heinzer, Berta Lois Dempsey and Bobby Fluty.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. A Graveside Service with Navy honors will be held at MD Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at 10:45 am.
