Donald Lee Jordan, Sr.

Donald Lee Jordan, Sr., 86, of Millersville, MD, passed away on the evening of July 18, 2026, with his loving wife by his side.

Born in Georgia, Don was the second youngest in a family of eight children. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Pietra Clifton Jordan and Lucille Marie Jordan.

Don proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Army. Following his military service, he began a distinguished 33-year career with the National Security Agency (NSA), where he served as a Korean linguist and ended his career as Division Chief. After retiring from NSA, Don embarked on a successful second career as a financial planner, serving clients with integrity and dedication for the next 20 years.

A longtime, faithful member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Don lived a life grounded in service, faith, and hard work. His dry wit and seemingly endless supply of quips brought laughter to everyday moments, leaving his friends and family with many fond memories. He had a remarkable ability to build, repair, and create just about anything. Whether he was boating, working on cars, tackling a carpentry project, or just lending a helping hand, Don's resourcefulness earned him the affectionate title of "jack of all trades."

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his seven siblings.

Don is survived by his devoted wife of 56 ½ years, Bonnie Jean Jordan; children, Donald Lee Jordan, Jr., Diane Marie Ferguson, Michelle Lynn Jordan (husband, Philip Karl LaWall), Nicole Suzanne Jordan Colburn (husband, William James Colburn); grandchildren, Tayler Marie Reyna, Trey Jordan Colburn, Dane Forbes Ferguson, Seth Lee Jordan, Travis James Colburn; and great-grandson, Giovanni William Reyna. He will be dearly missed by his many loving children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and their families. 

The family will receive visitors on Saturday, July 25th, at St. Paul Lutheran’s Church, 308 Oak Manor Drive, Glen Burnie, 21061, starting at 10:15 am. His memorial service will immediately follow at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
