David Lambert Obituary

David Delano Lambert, born on March 15, 1933, in Circleville, West Virginia, passed away on April 29, 2026, in Glen Burnie, Maryland, at the age of 93.

David lived a long and meaningful life marked by service, hard work, and devotion to the people he loved. He was a man of quiet strength, steady character, and deep kindness, and those who knew him will remember him as loving, wise, and generous in spirit. His life reflected the values he held dear, and he carried himself with dignity and humility throughout the years.

He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War, answering the call to duty during a time of great need. After his military service, he built a long career with General Motors, where he retired as a Foreman. Through years of dedication and perseverance, he earned the respect of his coworkers and the admiration of those who worked alongside him.

David was a devoted husband to Mary Lou Lambert and a loving father to his daughters, Janice L. Grayson (Kenneth) and Lori K. Koppold (Fred). He took great pride in his family and found joy in the lives of his grandchildren, Jared Grayson, Matthew Koppold (Rachael), Seth Koppold, and Shane Koppold (Hannah). He loved spending time with them and was always eager to share stories and brag about their accomplishments. His family was the center of his world, and he cherished every moment spent in their company.

He is also survived by his siblings, Bill Bennett, Judy Thompson, and Steve Bennett, who shared in the many memories and bonds of family that remained important to him throughout his life. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Jim Lambert, Terry Bennett, Phillip Bennett and Sam Bennett.

David had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and nature. He enjoyed taking walks and hikes, and he found peace in the simple beauty of the world around him. Fishing and hunting were among his favorite pastimes, and he especially loved spending time in West Virginia, a place that always held a special place in his heart. He also enjoyed reading and had a thirst for learning that stayed with him throughout his life. He appreciated a good beer and the quiet pleasures of time well spent, especially when shared with those he loved.

Those who knew David will remember his kind heart, his loving nature, and the wisdom he carried with him. His life was one of service, devotion, and simple joys, and he leaves behind a legacy of love and integrity that will be remembered always.

Though he is no longer with us, David D. Lambert’s memory will live on in the hearts of his wife, daughters, grandchildren, siblings, extended family, and all who were fortunate enough to know him. His life was a blessing to many, and his example of kindness, loyalty, and strength will continue to inspire those who follow.
