Connie Page

January 26, 1950 — June 20, 2021

Glen Burnie

Connie Sue Page, 71 of Glen Burnie, beloved wife, mother, sister, and Nana, bravely crossed Heaven’s threshold in the early hours of June 20, 2021. Connie was born on January 26, 1950 in Greensburg, Kentucky. She is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Retired MSG Alfred Larry Page; her devoted children, Todd Page and his wife, Zakiyyah Page; and Lynn Brooks and her husband, Jay Brooks; her loving grandchildren, Lauren, Aaron, Serena, Rebekah, Kayla, Alex, Gabi, and Ella; her cherished, great-grandchildren, Cody, Chloe, and Charity; and her dear sister, Deborah Smith. Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Donald & Margie Hines and her sister, Patricia Scorsolini.

Connie had many passions in her beautiful life, most of all her darling children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, who she called her, “Sunshines”. As a child she had sung with Patsy Cline and her favorite song was always, “You are My Sunshine” which she would sing to all her kids always ending with, “Cause Nana needs a little sunshine every day.” She was always intentional about spending time with every member of her family individually. Connie’s faith was rock solid. She loved Jesus and studying His Word and Connie’s voice raised in passionate worship in church still rings in the ears of everyone who was privileged enough to be standing near her. She had accepted the Lord at a young age and believed she would marry a missionary. And on January 24th, 1969, she married the love of her life, Larry, who became career military and together, they traveled and served their country all over the world, sharing the love of Jesus with everyone they encountered. Connie also loved all things chocolate, shopping with her “Sunshines” in her sweatpants, her coach purse on her shoulder and her Starbucks venti iced green tea in her reusable cup. She loved decorating her home and giving gifts “just because”. At Christmas she made the best southern green bean casserole and buckeyes, wore a furry red hat, and handed out loads of presents, earning her the affectionate nickname, “Santa Nana”. Connie with her giant heart became “Nana” to everyone she met, whether they were related to her or not; she was a grandmother to all. In short, Connie lived her life anchored in the hope found in John 3:16.
