Barbara Elizabeth Perron, born on March 13, 1945, in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, passed away on March 8, 2026, in Glen Burnie, Maryland, just days shy of her 81st birthday. She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and dedication that will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Barbara devoted many years of her life to serving the community, working for the Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and later as the Assistant Director of the Pasadena Senior Center. Her commitment to enhancing the lives of those around her created lasting impacts that resonate throughout the community. Barbara was not just a professional; she was a friend and mentor to many, embodying the spirit of care and generosity.
A proud graduate with an associate’s degree from Anne Arundel Community College, she embraced education and shared that passion by encouraging others to pursue their own journeys. Her love for life extended far beyond the workplace; Barbara was an active member of the Women’s Club at St. Bernadette Catholic Church and the Kiwanis Club, where her enthusiasm and warmth brought people together, fostering strong bonds of friendship and camaraderie.
Families are often woven together by threads of shared experiences, and Barbara excelled at knitting those threads tightly with her own family. She is survived by her beloved husband, Ronald A. Perron, with whom she shared nearly 59 years of marriage—a true partnership filled with joy, laughter, and endless support. Together, they raised a beautiful family, including their sons, Gregory Perron and his fiancée Julie Hughes, and Stephen Perron and his wife Amy. The love Barbara poured into her family extended to her grandchildren, Natalie Kiser and her husband Mason, Kylie and Stephen (Bubby) Perron, whom she adored. Their memories together will forever be cherished.
Barbara is also remembered fondly by her siblings, Douglas Joyce and Sandra Dalton, and her brother David Joyce. She was predeceased by her brother, Richard Joyce and her parents, Dorothy and Leroy Joyce, who surely welcomed her with open arms.
In her leisure time, Barbara found joy in a variety of activities. She loved traveling and shopping, but more than anything, she found delight in spending time with her friends and family, especially spoiling her grandchildren. Her passion for country line dancing and playing games like Mahjong and Bunko reflected her vibrant spirit and zest for life.
As we celebrate the life of Barbara Elizabeth Perron, let us remember her laughter, her kindness, and her unwavering commitment to creating moments of happiness for others. Her memorial gathering will take place on April 18, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 PM at Singleton Funeral and Cremation Services, P.A. in Glen Burnie, Maryland.
Though Barbara may have left this world, her love and spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched. She showed us the importance of lifting each other up and cherishing every moment, lessons that will guide us as we continue her legacy of love.
