Albert "Al" Stominski

July 24, 1934 — February 24, 2020

Albert James Stominiski, 85, of Linthicum passed away on February 24, 2020. Albert was born in 1934 in Baltimore, MD to the late James and Mary Stominski, and grew up in the Locust Point area. He graduated from Calvert High School, where he played basketball and baseball and then went on to attend the University of Baltimore. Albert served in the US Army and was a proud member of the Screaming Eagle Brigade. He worked as a Logistics Manager for the US Postal Service. Albert was a Railroad Docent for the B&O Railroad in Baltimore for 25 years, served meals for Our Daily Bread for over 20 years, and served as an Usher at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church.

He had a passion for cars and loved his red Corvette. Albert also enjoyed racing, watching the Baltimore Colts and Baltimore Orioles and loved eating steamed crabs. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Sylvia Jean Stominski; daughter, Ginny Stominski and her wife Carolyn Watson; step-children, Mickey Jubb (Paul); Pete Wright (Barbara); and Gordie Wright; 8 step-grandchildren and 3 step-great-grandchildren, his nieces Jennifer Klein, Kathy Schonowski, Cindy (John) Snider; his nephews Michael Klein, and Billy Schonowski.  He was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Patricia Ann Stominski; and his sister, Emma Schonowski.

Visitation will be held at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, in Glen Burnie, on Friday., Feb. 28th, from 6-8 PM. A Funeral Mass service will be held on Saturday., 10 AM, at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Linthicum.
