William Robey, Sr

On January 24, 2008, William Walter Robey, Sr. passed on. William is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Beatrice 'Ann' Robey; his dear children, Lorraine Harrison, William W. Robey, Jr., Carolyn Shields, Sharon Rauser, Charles Robey and Gregory Robey; eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother, Raymond Robey; his sisters, Jeanette Geldmacher, Evelyn Pastorius and Edna Crouse; and his brother, Thomas J. Robey, Jr. William was born in Baltimore, Maryland in 1922. He was a member of the U.S. Army Air Corps for a couple years. He was then employed as a machinist with Victory Racing Plate in Baltimore. William was a member of the VFW Post 434, the Post Quartermaster from 1976 to 1978 and the Disabled American Veterans. He enjoyed collecting stamps and coins. He also loved gardening. He was a man who enjoyed being busy.
