William Gregory Jones, known affectionately as "Greg," passed away on June 2, 2024, in Pasadena, Maryland. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on August 1, 1952, to the late William Alfred and Kathleen Myrl Jones. Greg led a remarkable life filled with love, laughter, and dedication both his work and his family.
Throughout his 23 years as a machinist at Stanley Engineering in Glen Burnie, Greg displayed unparalleled skill and commitment to his craft. His precision and expertise were admired by all who had the pleasure of working with him. Prior to his career as a machinist, Greg, a proud Vietnam veteran, served as a Spec-4 in the U.S. Army, demonstrating not only his work ethic but also his patriotism and sense of duty.
Beyond his professional life, Greg found joy in various hobbies and interests. Whether he was fishing serenely by the water's edge, competing in a friendly game of pool with friends, or embarking on hunting trips to savor the great outdoors, Greg reveled in these simple pleasures. However, above all else, what truly brought him the most happiness was spending quality time with his beloved family and friends.
Greg is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Brinda A. Jones, who stood by his side through every triumph and challenge they faced together. His legacy lives on through his loving daughter, Melissa; and his cherished grandchildren Codi and Terry. Additionally, he leaves behind a treasured legacy in the form of great-grandchildren, Alayna, Brianna, Ellie, Maddy, and Lily. In addition to his parents, Greg was predeceased by his siblings, Diane, Janet, Rosemary, David, and Keith.
In remembrance of Greg's life and all that he meant to those around him, let us honor his memory by cherishing the time we have with our own loved ones and embracing each moment with gratitude and joy. Rest in peace, William Gregory Jones - a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather; a skilled machinist; a proud veteran; and a cherished friend whose presence will be deeply missed yet warmly remembered by all who knew him.
