William N. “Brownie” Brown, 69, of Glen Burnie, passed away at his home, surrounded by his family, on June 18, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Baltimore, he was the loving son of the late Howard Ellis and Marie A. Brown.
As a proud member of the Knights of Columbus #7025 and American Legion Post 40, he found purpose in his commitments, contributing his unique blend of enthusiasm and camaraderie. Bill enjoyed a range of passions that reflected his adventurous spirit: fishing, hunting, camping, and white-water rafting were just a few of the activities that filled his life with joy and excitement. In many ways, Bill was the life of the party, effortlessly bringing people together. He cherished spending time with his family and friends, creating memories that will resonate in the hearts of many for years to come.
Bill is survived by his devoted wife of 42 years, Bonnie; his cherished daughters, Tiffany Gilliam (Jason) and Casey Brown (Patrick Shifflett); adored grandchildren, Samantha, Dalton and Zoe; and his dear sisters, Donna Rickert, Debbie Munyon (Robert) and Marie Crandall (James). He will also be missed by many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends and family are invited to gather at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, Glen Burnie, on Monday, June 23rd, from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, 10AM, in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Loudon Park Cemetery.
