Virginia Anne Foster, lovingly known as "Ginny," passed away on April 17, 2024, in Columbia, MD. She was born on January 2, 1948, in Crisfield, Maryland to the late Walter G. McCready and Vivian Lawson McCready. Virginia was an exceptional teacher who dedicated her life to shaping the minds of countless children with care and compassion.
Throughout her career, Virginia touched the lives of many with her kindness and wisdom. Her passion for teaching was evident in the way she nurtured her students and inspired them to learn and grow.
Outside of her profession, Virginia found joy in painting, gardening, and traveling with friends and family. Her greatest joy was being with her grandchildren in their activities and accomplishments. These hobbies allowed her to express her creativity and find comfort in God’s creation.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Joseph H. Foster; her devoted sons, Kevin R. Foster (Eimille) and Scott A. Foster (Kerry); her dear grandchildren, Whakeem, Alex, Shelby, and Kenley Foster; and her loving sister, Sylvia Maloney. She is also survived by several nieces, nephew, and loving friends.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Sunday, April 21st from 4-6 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at Linthicum Heights United Methodist Church on Monday, April 22nd at 11 AM. Interment and graveside services will be on Tuesday, April 23rd at Sunny Ridge Memorial Park, Crisfield, MD.
In honor of Virginia's memory, let us cherish the moments shared with this remarkable individual who brightened the lives of those around her. May she rest in peace knowing that she made a difference in the lives of so many.
