Vera E. Hood

Vera Eileen Hood, 90 of Glen Burnie passed away on March 2, 2024. Vera was born on August 12, 1933 to the late Frederick and Frances Heinz. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Weckesser (Michael); her grandchildren, Raymond Hood III, Kathy Bentley (Marcus), Marvin Hood, Jr. (Angela), Charles Buckheit III and Kelli Weatherstein; her great-grandchildren, Marvin Hood III, Emily Hood and other beloved great-grandchildren; her sister, Anna Hawkins and her niece, Debbie Hawkins. Vera was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Raymond Hood Sr.; her children, Gordon Heinz, Raymond Hood Jr. and Marvin Hood Sr. She was also preceded in death by six siblings.

Vera loved to travel, listen to country music, and enjoyed family gatherings with steamed crabs.
