Vanessa Washington

Beloved Vanessa Anne Washington, 64, of Glen Burnie, Maryland peacefully transitioned to be with the Lord on August 11, 2021.  She was born June 20, 1957 in Baltimore, Maryland to Eunice and the late Benson Washington.  She retired from the State of Maryland, Department of Motor Vehicle Administration (DMV) after 27 years of dedicated service.  Vanessa, an avid reader, loved the Maryland blue crabs, and enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.  In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Washington.

Vanessa leaves to cherish her memory a devoted son, Derrick Jackson and his wife, Jennifer; cherished granddaughters, Maya, Jillian and Gwendolyn, and one grandson, Michael Jedziniak; beloved mother, Eunice; loving sister, Sharell Washington; and a host of many extended relatives and friends.

Services for Vanessa will be private.  The family requests in lieu of flowers, please send Memorial contributions in memory of Vanessa Anne Washington to the Johns Hopkins Department of Surgery in support of Comprehensive Transplant Center (listed under the Specialties category).
