Thomas Vogel

June 21, 1983 — February 8, 2021

Glen Burnie

Thomas “Tommy” Frederick Vogel, age 37, grew his wings to fly on 2/8/2021, in his Millersville home.

Tommy was born in Silver Spring, Maryland to Denise Jiron and David Vogel. As a child, he grew up in Prince George’s and Frederick County, Maryland. He attended New Market Elementary School, New Market Middle, and Linganore High School while completing the Culinary Arts program in Vocational-Technical School. He married his beloved wife, Nicole Vogel on March 24, 2019. The joining of two families brought great joy to him for many reasons, but one of his greatest loves was becoming a Stepfather to Lillian and Stephan Jr.

While his life was short in years, it was full of memories, traveling, friends, and family. He was the reason for laughter and easy to love. He was extremely adventurous to say to least, would try anything, and lived without fear. Traveling to 15 countries and many States across the United States, skydiving, kayaking, fishing, and a variety of sports were only a few of his hobbies. Football was both played and watched. He bled burgundy and gold, as he was a diehard Redskins fan!

Tommy was passionate about food and made a career of his art. He spent his last 6 years at The Prime Rib in Maryland Live Casino. His experiences in the industry included Ledo’s, Timbuktu, and he owned RT’s Gourmet Café with a partner.

Tommy is survived by Wife, Nicole Vogel, and two children Lillian and Stephan Jr., three Sisters; Angela Vogel, Jessica Hetherington, and Heather Jiron, Parents; Denise and Steve Jiron, David and Sandy Vogel, and Grandparents; Thomas and Delores Wischnowski, as well as, In-laws Dawn and Pete Busch, Brother- in-law; Jeremy McCauley, P.J. Busch, and Joshua Busch, Sister in-law, Lauren Busch and a host of loving relatives and friends, both near and far. Tommy was predeceased by his best friend, Ryan McCauley.

“We were a family before we knew we were a family.” – Wife, Nicole
