Steven Mcginnis

Steven William McGinnis, 67, of Glen Burnie, passed away on January 28, 2022. He was born in Baltimore to the late Dolores Frances and William Frederick McGinnis Jr. He was employed with Mid Atlantic Power as a battery technician and a proud member of Teamsters Local 355. Affectionately known as “Captain Steve”, he was an avid fisherman and enjoyed teaching anyone and everyone how to fish. He also loved boating, camping, and playing Bunco. Steve was happiest when sharing time with and making memories with his family and friends.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Robert McGinnis and Susan Saia; and his niece, Tina Saia.
Steve is survived by his devoted wife of 35 years, Melody McGinnis; loving daughter, Jamie Franks (Ray); cherished grandson, Hudson Franks; and dear sisters, Pat Reamy (Rick), Linda Pritchard (Marvin) and Karen DiMattei (Jeffrey). He will also be missed by his Aunt and Uncles, Cousins, beloved Nieces and Nephews, and friends.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. S. W. (at Crain Hwy) on Friday, February 11th, from 6 - 8 PM.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, 11 AM, in the funeral home chapel.  Interment to follow at Meadowridge Memorial Park. The service will be livestreamed. If you would like to join, the link will be available at 11 AM on Saturday.
