Sarah Anne Davies, 96, of Arnold, passed away at Autumn Lake in Sykesville on November 19, 2025. Born in Glen Burnie on January 3, 1929, she was the loving daughter of the late Elmer Solley Stallings and Lyda Rachel Stallings.
Sarah's journey began in Annapolis, where she graduated from Annapolis High School. With a thirst for knowledge, she soon attended Miami University. After college, Sarah embarked on a rewarding career at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where her talents and determination quickly shone through. She embraced every challenge, rising to the role of Chief Technologist of the Blood Bank and Hematology Lab at a young age. In 1972, Sarah took on the pivotal role of Manager and Chief Technologist of the Blood Bank at Easton Memorial Hospital, a position she cherished until her retirement in 1993. The bonds she formed with her coworkers and friends remained strong.
Outside of her professional accomplishments, Sarah was an enthusiastic sports fan, with an unwavering loyalty to Baltimore teams, dating back to the Colts. As a proud season ticket holder, she filled the stands with her infectious energy. Her love for sports was complemented by her dedication to bowling; for over 25 years, she participated in the Easton Bowling Alley League, showcasing her competitive spirit and love for camaraderie.
Yet, the greatest joy in Sarah's life was the time spent surrounded by her beloved family and friends. Whether it was sharing stories, laughter, or simply enjoying quiet moments together, she cherished those relationships.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Davies; and her siblings, Charles E. Stallings and Juanita R. Stallings.
Sarah is survived by her devoted son, Tim Davies and his wife, Julie; cherished grandson, Gavin Timothy Davies; and her dear sister, Patricia Colburn. She will also be missed by many loving nieces, nephews and their families.
