Ruth House

On November 28, 2022, Ruth L. House, 96, of Glen Burnie, passed away at Gilchrist Hospice in Columbia. She was born in Cumberland to the late George L. and Laura Marie Johns. She enjoyed spending time with her family, painting, drawing and arts and crafts. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Frank M. House; and her sister, Miriam Dodge.

Ruth is survived by her devoted children, Linda Hale and her husband, Jim, and Robert House and his wife, Debbie; cherished grandchildren, Christopher Hale (Christina) and Morgan House; loving great-grandchildren, Emma and Leeland Hale; and dear niece and nephew, Kim Moon, Fred Dodge and their family.

Visitation will be held at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, PA, 1 Second Avenue, SW, (at Crain Highway) Glen Burnie, MD 21061 on Tuesday, December 13th, from 12 – 1 PM. A Celebration of Life service will immediately follow at 1 PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gilchrist Hospice Center, 6336 Cedar Lane, Columbia, MD 21044.
