Rose Mary Schonowski, 92, of Glen Burnie, passed away on December 24, 2021. She was born in Baltimore, to the late George and Rose Solan and attended St. Mary’s Star of the Sea and Seton High School. In her early years she worked various jobs at the Calvert Bank, Davison Chemical Company, and McCormick & Company, before settling down as a homemaker to raise two lovely daughters. Her daughters were her life. Rose was wonderful to talk to and through her years maintained many close friendships. She touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed. She enjoyed reading, shopping, TV game shows, traveling (especially trips to NYC during the holidays), and of course, spoiling her daughters and grandchildren.
Rose is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Kenneth R. Schonowski; devoted daughters, Randee Salas (Michael) and Susan Takovich (Wes); cherished grandchildren, Amanda Takovich, Michael Takovich and Samuel Salas; loving sister, Thelma White; and dear nieces and nephew, Charlene Matthews, Lois Parker, and Melvin Wentworth.
