Rose Marie Reed

Rose “Marie” Reed, 96, of Brooklyn Park, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2022, at Morningside House of Friendship in Hanover.  She was born in Poplar Springs, Maryland (Howard County) on June 8, 1925, to the late Eleanor and George Stull.  Marie was an excellent cook and baker, and enjoyed gardening and crocheting.

Marie is survived by her devoted husband of 75 years, George L. Reed; her cherished son, John L. Reed, and loving daughter-in-law, Nancy Reed; granddaughter, Cindy Tippett and her husband, Brian; great-grandchildren, Ben & Ellie; and her sister Betty Ifert.  In addition to her parents, Marie was also predeceased by her sister, Martha Henley.

A Celebration of Life graveside service for Marie will be held on Monday, April 11, 2022, at 10:00 AM at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 5829 Ritchie Highway, Brooklyn Park, Maryland 21225.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Marie’s name may be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake at www.hospicechesapeake.org.
