Rosalie Antoinette Brooks, passed away after a brief illness on June 19, 2025, in her hometown of Baltimore, Maryland. Born on September 20, 1939, she graced the world with her warmth, wisdom, and compassionate spirit for nearly 86 years.
After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from The College of Notre Dame of Maryland, Rosalie dedicated a significant portion of her life to educating young minds as a teacher at St. Philip Neri Catholic School. Her passion for nurturing curiosity and fostering a love for learning left an indelible mark on countless students.
Beyond the classroom, Rosalie's passion for music brought joy to herself and others as a performing member of the Arundel Singers. She was also a dedicated member of the Red Hat Society, showcasing her spirited character and love of friendship, laughter, and camaraderie.
Rosalie is survived by her loving niece, Christina Moylan, and her devoted nephew, Benjamin Moylan. They carry forward her legacy of kindness, compassion, and the importance of lifelong learning.
She was predeceased by her sister Gloria Gilbert, brother William Brooks Jr. and parents Constance and William Brooks. Their love and support were the bedrock upon which Rosalie built her life, and they are surely welcoming her with open arms once more.
As we remember Rosalie Antoinette Brooks, we celebrate a life well lived — characterized by dedication, education, music, and most importantly, the love shared with family and friends. The echoes of her laughter and the lessons learned from her heart will continue to resonate within the many lives she touched and inspired.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on July 1, 2025 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church 6401 S. Orchard Road, Linthicum Heights, MD 21090. Friends and family are invited to congregate at the church at 10:00 AM for an hour of fellowship prior to Mass. Following Mass, the family invites close friends to join them at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, 4430 Belair Rd, Baltimore, MD 21206, for the committal service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Rosalie’s name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital www.stjude.org.
