Rosalee Countess

Rosalee Countess (nee Russell), 88, of Linthicum, passed away at her daughter’s home on December 5, 2020. She was born on October 30, 1932 in Onancock, Virginia, one of six, to the late George and (Harriet) Elizabeth "Lizzie" Russell. They moved to Baltimore and she grew up on North Avenue and attended Eastern High School. Rosalee was the proud owner of Countess’ Coiffures, a beauty salon in Lansdowne and the Hair House, in Glen Burnie. She enjoyed fashion, dancing, music and cosmetology. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert; grandson, Ethan MacPherson; and her siblings, George, Mildred, Myrtle, Sam and Bob.

Rosalee is survived by her loving children, Sandy McCarthy (Jim), Kim MacPherson (Scott) and Robert Countess Jr. (Julie); cherished grandchildren, Ryan McCarthy, Erin Steelman (Zach), Brianna Walker (Jason), Nicholas MacPherson and Anna Countess; and beloved great-granddaughter, Stella Steelman.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 12th, at 12 PM, at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
